Venice a wonderful reality!

A 40-minute boat ride from Punta Sabbioni will take you to the open-air museum of Venice. Venice lies in the middle of the gorgeous Laguna surrounded by other 116 small isles. It is a paradoxical city…a small isle but the most famous in the World! Impossible not know its grandiose historic centre, its Campi that walk through the Calli and Sestieri along the Canal Grande and the vitality in the street of the shops in San Marco Square. A city rich in historical inheritance followed through the centuries like its never ending palaces and buildings and it unique backgrounds mixed in various arts: Gothic, the Renaissance, thanking also the power of the Serenissima Republic and to the numerous business with Constantinopoli and the East Lands. San Marco’s Square is the most gorgeous example. It can be visited only by walk or boat, Venice is the only city in the world for beauty and singleness: a trip in the past that is always present.

With its beautiful rectangular square, the San Marco’s Square is Venice’s most famous square. With the bell tower and the Basilica it is the most beautiful and ancient square in the World. With the Procuratie Vecchie e Nuove along the whole perimeter, it is the example of a mix of cultures and arts, followed through the centuries.

Palazzo Ducale:

Built directly to the Molo in Gothic style, it was the luxury palace of the Doge and the city building of the aristocracy. Rich in never ending artistic backgrounds, a visit it is worth to the big rooms and precious works.

Rialto’s Bridge:

The first houses were built in the 9. century in this district and also the first markets under the open sky., but they were divided into 2 parts by the Canal Grande river. For this reason it was built this famous bridge. Until today the Rialto’s Bridge is its centre where the city life pulses, the markets and the numerous shops and restaurants. To see and to taste.

The northern lagoon and more besides

Just a few minutes’ boat ride from Cavallino-Treporti Ricevitoria one comes to the islets of the northern lagoon: Burano, with its characteristic coloured houses, famous for its lace; Murano, world-famous for centuries for the quality of its glassware; Torcello, the cradle of Veneto civilisation, with its basilica and archaeology and medieval museum.

Murano:

One of the most famous isles of the Laguna, it is the isle of the “glass working art”, an art transmitted from father to son. Suggested the visit in the glass factory, the Church of san Donato and the several glass museums.

Burano:

Only 30 minutes far from Murano, there is Burano Island, an active fish centre of the Laguna and also an important stop around Venice. Famous for the laces working art, it gives the possibility to admire the marvellous works of this art. Burano is also an inspiration island for painters, thanking its typical coloured houses between the blue of the sky and the green of the Laguna.

Torcello:

Torcello lies only 10 minutes by boat from Burano and was until the XVI century one of the most important and lived centres of the Laguna. From this ancient time we find 2 important works: the Cathedral and the Church of Santa Fosca (both an historic and artistic wealth). To visit also the Museum of the Estuario with its excavations, the Devil’s Bridge (Ponte del Diavolo, the most ancient bridge of the Laguna), the legendary Attila’s Throne and the medieval tower with the most beautiful sight of the Laguna.
